Outside of real estate, John enjoys paddleboarding and is a fan and collector of late 90s and early 2000s Toyota SUVs. He drives a 1998 4Runner and a 1999 Land Cruiser. As a lifelong resident of the area, John believes there's no need to leave when you live in a place people pay big money to vacation. He is a committed husband of 11 years, and together with his wife, they raised twin stepchildren who are now successful 21-year-old adults. John also loves his three dogs, Maggie, Kodah, and Rocky. His hobbies include riding electric bikes and engaging in the art of sumo wrestling, which he took up after injuries prevented him from continuing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
